Shibui (an aesthetic term that corresponds to "timeless" in Japanese) is a Japanese whisky brand that was launched in 2020. The brand is focused on sourcing exceptional whisky from Japanese distilleries, collaborating with them for the distillation, maturation, and marrying of each different release. Whisky from Niigata and Okinawa is at the core of their lineup, each expression being bottled without chill-filtration and added coloring. Shibui 15 Year Old Single Grain Whisky was double distilled in Okinawa, at the Masahiro Distillery from premium Indica long grain rice using a stainless-steel pot still. Then, the whisky spent 15 years in first-fill fino and manzanilla sherry oak casks before being bottled.
