Rubicon Estate Captain's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Rubicon Estate Captain's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Rubicon Estate Captain's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

Named for Captain Gustave Niebaum, Rubicon's estate Syrah shows the level of care and attention given not just to Cabernet Sauvignon, but to their other varietals, as well. The low-yielding 2008 vintage resulted in ripe, balanced fruit with highly concentrated and intense aromatics. This is a fragrant and floral Syrah with a great combination of ripeness and verve, energetically capturing both ends of the spectrum of the varietal.

Rubicon Estate was formely known as the Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery and has subsequently had the orginal Inglenook estate name restored.

The production of Rubicon, Inglenook’s premier red wine, began in 1978 and restored the estate’s legacy of making world-class wines. Rubicon is an elegant blend from the finest vineyard blocks and showcases the highest potential of both the estate and the vintage. Under the guidance of Philippe Bascaules, Inglenook’s Director of Winemaking, Rubicon proudly takes its place alongside much older, revered vintages of Inglenook in collectors’ cellars around the world.
