Winemaker, Landon Donley, is focused on making vibrant, fresh and impeccably balanced wines. Merlot comes from a slow-ripening vineyard site that produces fruit with rich, velvety tannins. Aging the wine primarily in larger French oak barrels emphasizes the mid-palate texture, varietal aromatics, and flavors.
Enhanced natural aromatics and varietal character by chilling grapes to 40°F, sorting them optically, and using controlled fermentation to preserve their unique qualities. After blending with Bordeaux varieties for complexity, the wine ages for 15 months in 500L puncheons for a balanced fruit and oak profile.
