Entrapment was distilled and aged at the Crown Royal distillery in Gimli, Canada and bottled by Diageo in Tullahoma, TN. When blending batches of Crown Royal in Canada, barrels that don’t fit into the final blend are moved around in the warehouse to make room for newly filled barrels. When they aren’t chosen for another blend, they become “hidden treasures” tucked away in dark corners. The mashbill for these particular barrels consists of 97% corn and 3% malted barley and are bottled at 82 proof.
The Orphan Barrel Whiskey Co. was started to share barrels of delicious and rare whiskey, hidden away and nearly forgotten in the back of rickhouses and distilleries.
