The 10 year old Handmade Bourbon is one of the original Old Rip Van Winkle brands, first bottled by Julian Van Winkle III in 1980s. This particularly intersting Very Special Stock was bottled by Van Winkle in honor of the 101st Airborne Division (the Screaming Eagles) who fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He bottled this one around 2002 using Stitzel-Weller barrels distilled in 1992, making this Bourbon some of the very last ever distilled at Stitzel Weller before their closure that same year.
