Rare 750ml US bottling of Macallan 25 year old anniversary malt distilled in 1970 in excellent condition with original wood box.

This was released at 25 year old as part of the very popular Anniversary Malt series of bottlings. Bottled in the mid-1990s, this is a prime example of the old-style, heavily sherried Macallan that is intensely sought after by collectors worldwide. The whisky is known for its deep mahogany color and a dense profile of dried fruits, dark chocolate, antique oak, and rich Christmas cake spices.

The distillery added a 25 year old to their annual output in 1983, called the Anniversary Malt and accompanied at the time by the limited edition 50 year old. The 25 year old Anniversary Malt was produced for two decades before being replaced, and is now one of the most highly prized expressions in the world of whisky.
