Unusual for a white Bordeaux in that this wine is 100% Semillon, with none of the traditional Sauvinon Blanc blended in. Crisp and refreshing and quite affordable.
Chateau La Pinesse (now LaPinesse) is best known for their Barsac, the sweet wine made from botrytised Semillon. Since Semillon is the grape that made them famous, it's no surprise their dry white wines give it a much-deserved starring role.
