Chateau D'Esclans Garrus Rose 2022

Chateau D'Esclans Garrus Rose 2022

Château d’Esclans Garrus Rosé 2022 – Côtes de Provence

The pinnacle of Provence rosé. Sourced from 100-year-old Grenache vines and Rolle, Garrus is fermented and aged 11 months in new French oak barrels, resulting in a full-bodied, complex rosé built to rival Grand Cru white Burgundy or prestige Champagne.

Tasting Notes:
Powerful aromas of dried citrus, peach, and passion fruit lead to a mid-palate of glazed pear, pineapple, and toasty spice. Creamy and structured with flinty minerality and a long, peppery finish.

Blend: Grenache, Rolle (Vermentino), Syrah
Aging Potential: Now through 2030
Alcohol: 14% ABV
Production: ~800 cases imported to the U.S.

Critical Acclaim:

  • 95 ptsJames Suckling: “Ample, textural and flavorful… full-bodied for rosé with spice, herbs, and a long finish.”

  • 95 ptsWine Enthusiast: “Decadent with ripe peach blossom, vanilla, wet stone, and soaring acidity.”

  • 94 ptsDecanter: “Floral, rounded, and persistent with fine structural grip.”

  • 92 ptsWine Spectator: “Creamed mango, persimmon, white tea tannins and smoky mineral notes.”

Serving Suggestions:
Serve chilled (50–55 °F) in a Burgundy glass with lobster, roast chicken, miso cod, or truffle risotto.
