Had a bottle of this recently. The quality of the "humble" wine never ceases to amaze me. Everyone that has tried this sparkling wine has been stunned by the quality, and not just when compared to other Proseccos. It has become one of our most popular wines. In fact, so much so, that we have a regular subscription just for this wine.
Bright, pale pink with light bubbles. The Canevel Rosé opens with notes of raspberry and orange zest, mixed with subtle floral nuances. On the palate, the wine is dry and balanced with crisp notes of fresh wild strawberries, (which are amazing when in season). The mousse forms a creamy mouthfeel that defies the price. The finish is clean with none of the sappy fruit that you find in many comparably priced Prosecco.
