This is again a 12-year-old expression from the Speyside-based distillery, which has been matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry butts, first-fill bourbon barrels and refill barrels.
Yellow/gold color. On the nose - sweet, slightly floral with a hint of vanilla and spices. Taste - sherry, but not too strong; warming, spices, not overly sweet. Aftertaste - a lingering warmth, drying, mouth-watering, smooth. A great whisky.
